Abstract: This work attempts to provide the centre stage to children’s views and their voices in the research. Situated at the interface of childhood studies, urban design and mental health, this work brings to the
forefront the experiences of children (and their families) living in slums during COVID-19. It attempts to uncover children’s experiences of dealing with the COVID-19 from their particular socio-spatial location. This work puts across how children are reconfiguring their lives through the new normal that is COVID-19 and the mandatory nation-wide lockdown in the context of Delhi, India.
